Combining Certificate in Mortgage Advice (CF6) with Certificate in Financial Planning (CF1) satisfies the regulatory examination requirements for registered mortgage advisers.

Core Skills: 

Upon completion you will have gained:-

  • a general introduction to the UK financial services industry (including common product types, the process of giving advice, ethics, regulation and legislation) and
  • an introduction to the mortgage process (including the house-buying process), different types of borrowers and their needs, the various mortgage product and repayment options, and the regulation and legislation applicable to mortgages and the provision of mortgage advice.
Assessment: 

The method of assessment is by a formal examination administered by the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Academic Progression: 

Combining Certificate in Mortgage Advice (CF6) with Certificate in Financial Planning (CF1) satisfies the regulatory examination requirements for registered mortgage advisers.

Career Progression: 

The Certificate in Mortgage Advice is widely recognised within the Mortgage sector as it demonstrates current and potential employees have gained a good understanding of the Mortgage industry.
