Health and safety training providers have identified a growing need to make learning more relevant to specific business environments to increase effectiveness. Reflecting sector-specific needs these safety qualifications are required to address new National Occupational Standards. It is therefore vital they are equipped with both the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively. This qualification is designed for those who use substances hazardous to health at work. It introduces candidates to substances, the risks and controls available, and outlines what to expect from a control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) assessment. The qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in their workplaces. In line with this demand, the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH has been designed to address the health & safety needs of all sectors.
