Norwich – a fine city for study
The historic city of Norwich
is situated in East Anglia, with waterways around the city and unspoilt countryside, scattered with traditional villages and market towns. It also has a beautiful coastline with miles of sandy beaches, and vibrant seaside towns as well as nature reserves full of wildlife that has travelled here from across the world.
Norwich is proud of its past and present status. In medieval times Norwich was one of the most important cities in England, and today it offers a blend of historic interest and modern sophistication. Norwich has a great nightlife with stylish café bars, pubs, clubs, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and nightclubs. Arts and culture is also important in Norfolk. There are many annual festivals celebrating art, music and performance.
Norwich has its own international airport, which connects us to the major cities of the UK, and the rest of the world via Europe. Norwich is 2 hours from London by train or coach, so it is very easy to enjoy the historical sights, museums, culture and diversity of our capital city very cheaply with a little forward planning. In 2012 London is hosting the Olympics and some of the venues have
already been built, so this is a very exciting time to be in the UK.
