If you have a disability, learning difficulty or medical condition or are recovering from a mental health condition, City College Norwich has various resources and support services which may be able to help you. We treat every case individually and reasonable adjustments will be made for all students with additional needs, where possible.
The Inclusive Learning Support Team Advisers can offer appointments to discuss support needs and may be able to agree a support plan to help a student on their course. The type of support provided might be help with mobility around college, help with practical tasks in class or somebody to help you communicate if you have a hearing difficulty.
The Study and Skills Centre offers learning support to all college students. Staff are available to provide help to students who wish to improve their literacy, numeracy or IT skills. The staff in the Study and Skills Centre can also offer advice on study skills and examination support.
The college has a medical centre staffed during term time, by a full-time Occupational Health nurse. There are also trained first aid staff on duty every day on the campus. Anybody with a medical condition or allergy which might mean they need assistance whilst on campus should contact the College Nurse in order to formulate a care plan as necessary. In such cases it is important that the College Nurse has a record of all your relevant contact numbers, i.e., family, friends, doctor, who might be contacted in an emergency.
The team are based in the Norwich Building: Room A1c,
